OMG! Everything was absolutely wonderful
Went on a Thursday, for pizza night. Service was great, quick even though they were busy. Specials were exceptional.

Had stopped at Ciao Bella several times for lunch but happened to be in Port Clinton on a Tuesday evening and stopped in for dinner. As luck would have it, it was Turn Around Tuesday. For $14 my husband had a beautiful salad and an unending array of artfully prepared pastas. As the name suggests, every time you turn around a server was there with another type of pasta to try. You could have as much as you wanted or try a taste. He especially liked the meat lovers filled with Italian sausage, a lobster spaghetti, there was a butternut squash ziti that was delicious and an asparagus with pesto pasta that was so bright with lemon that it deserved a plate all it’s own. One of the last ones featured pasta intertwined with prosciutto and served with a Gorgonzola sauce. Wow.

I opted for a vegetarian suggestion of the portobello ravioli. Served with just the right amount of cream sauce and topped with sautéed mushrooms it reminded me of a mushroom pasta I’d had in Montalcino, Italy. Would order again for sure. The chef’s ravioli of the day featured a kale and white bean pasta with romanesco sauce. Hard choices here.

All the pastas were fresh and unique. The house Pinot was Meomi and the perfect glass to enjoy with these hearty pastas.

Okay, not hungry but couldn’t resist an espresso with vanilla gelato. Got the order of Ashley’s Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies to share, three large cookies for $4. The chocolate chips were warm and the cookie was crispy with enough salt to give that balanced perfect bite.

There’s a reason these owners have garnered top awards for service. We sat at a bar table and the bar tender, Nicky, took care of us along with several other wait staff as the evening got busier. All the staff were well trained and professional.

Would highly recommend and plan on returning often. Hmm....maybe tomorrow.

Went for turnaround Tuesday pasta &
Wasn't impressed at all. They were all either bland or tasted too seafoody- but not in a good way! Then paid 7$ for 3 hard, cold cookies.

My family and I decided to try ciao for the first time on there pizza night. That place was packed full of people having a great time. All of our pizzas were hot and fresh and the service was spot on, we never had an empty glass. We will definitely be back!

We had (and you should request) Rachel for your server. It was as much interesting listening to her describe the dishes and wines as it was enjoying the ambience and meal. She is worth the trip. Of course the food was fabulous also. Great atmosphere along with the meal and experience. Highly recommend.
