this conveniently located downtown cafe is housed in a nineteenth century pharmacy and offers good food for a fair price. the breakfast and lunch menu is varied and tasty. the homemade italian wedding soup was thick and flavorful, the greek salad was good, and the hand-cut fries were ample. there is a soda fountain with stools where an older man sitting, who said he'd been coming regularly for an ice cream soda since he was a kid. the staff was very friendly and service was efficient. the cafe is appointed with a mix of antiques and reproductions that are housed on the original pharmacy shelves and walls. we enjoyed a pleasant lunch and will return on our next visit to painesville.
