Beautiful View and Relaxing Get-away!
I planned this pretty quickly to get away from the hustle and bustle of work, technology, and noise. I made it a mother-daughter get-away with my youngest and we loved our room, walking the trails, swimming in the pool, and dining in the bar for pizza together. We were able to enjoy wildlife, fresh air, and just get back to nature. Next time I hope to have my husband along for a couples get-away. Our room view was the best I think the lodge had to offer. We were able to enjoy seeing hawks, groundhogs, and racoons right from our balcony. I would definitely recommend and come back.

Room tip: Balcony view of the lake is a must!

This is an excellent place to take your familiy for a weekend getaway. We stayed here over the Easter holiday which was enhanced by an Easter Egg hunt for the children sponsored by the lodge. Everything was great throughout our entire stay--clean cottage and grounds, helpful staff, great food! We have no complaints. It is clear that this place is managed well! I would highly recommend this location not only for it's exemplory accommocations but also for a chance to be outdoors and take a break from busy life.

Room tip: We love staying in the cottages! It offers a chance for privacy as well as for the children to have some free space to play. Having coffee on the front porch overlooking the lake is a wonderful way to start the morning. We like to stay in the first circle so that we can walk rather than drive when we want to go to the lodge.

This was our second year enjoying spring break at Deer Creek. Great getaway that is so close to Columbus. Enjoyed the hiking. The lodge lobby with it's fireplace and rocking chairs is just so inviting and relaxing. The Stay4As program is great for families. Definitely will be back there again.

We stayed at the lodge for three nights because we were visiting family. I was traveling with my teenage grandson and he had a great time. It turned out to be the perfect place for us to stay with all my family living close by. The staff that was on duty was more than helpful and friendly. The gift shop was only open on the week-end and food service was slow but the atmosphere is very relaxed. I'm advising other family that live out of state to stay there when they visit and we'll be back too.

I have stayed at other State Park Lodges, and this one was really nice. It was just an overnight, but we wished we'd stayed longer. It's very close to Columbus, and close to where I live and we'll be back.
