The staff was not appropriately planned to ensure on time check in for our arrival. Arriving and being able to use the facilities such as the pool arcade in MagiQuest are nice however check in/ room availability should happen by 4 p.m. no matter what. That should be the utmost importance to the staff and it is clearly not the case at this location. Having guests stand around in the lobby with all of their bags / belongings or with wet kids and or parents dripping wet Tim a towel because they have nowhere to go to clean up until (our case 7:30pm, but there were still others waiting well past that) is not acceptable. If the hotel can't plan to have rooms prepared by 4 p.m. then they should be looking for a new manager. We were given a $50 room credit and breakfast and late check-out (which probably caused the same issue for the folks arriving on our departure day) but that didn't make up for the lack of having a room when expected at 4 p.m. We were told, well check in "starts" at 4 p.m. which is a bunch of crap! When does check in "end". We started Check in with pre check the day before in which GWL could not get right either because the system would not allow me to change my credit card. There didn't seem to be any Rhyme or Reason as to why some guests received a room upon their check in as early as 1pm and others were left standing in the lobby with nowhere to go until 9pm. It was like an angry mob demanding the head of the king because of their incompetence. Our family didn't feel safe in the situation and the hotel staff could do nothing more than say I'm sorry I don't know when your room will be ready. After finally getting the attention of shift manager Anthony, we were told the status of our room was still not cleaned and we needed to wait. This is when we were offered the credit, breakfast and late check-out, but it simply didn't make up for the lost hours standing at the front desk waiting for a status. It completely ruined the beginning of our trip which was only two nights. In addition when we finally got our room, there was dirty towels left in the bathroom and the birthday surprise that we had paid for was not there. They offered to bring it in but it's just not the same as entering the room with the surprise on display. Because it was past 8 p.m. by the time we got in touch with the front desk again we asked for the cake to be delivered the next day. We had a party of 5 and were brought 4 plates, napkins, and forks. The next day, toilet paper, Kleenex tissues, soap and shampoo weren't replenished, the floor was not vacuumed and the beds were not made. Again 4 towels for a party of 5 we're left in a room that has 5 beds. We did enjoy the pool once we were able to have a room to change into, the late check-out did come in handy as we were able to swim on checkout morning, we had one great experience with the manager after our daughter's wand was stolen from the arcade, I approached a gentleman in a dress shirt with a name tag and said you look like you could help we're looking to see if you can point us to the security office to see who has taken our daughter's wand off of the game where we were playing. He said I can do that but let's just take care of it and immediately got it replaced which was a Disney like solution and probably the sole bright spot of customer service we receive during this trip.Don't get me wrong in the wait staff at dinner and breakfast were as expected and the MagiQuest and arcade had some accommodating staff, but the hotel side of things performed overall very poor and I cannot in good conscience recommend staying here based on this experience.

Great Wolf Lodge is a wonderful fun family adventure. It is extremely kid friendly. There are so many activities to do as a family. Our family visited the Mason, Ohio location. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The food at the Loose Moose Cottage was delicious. We had a wonderful family trip. I would highly recommend this facility to everyone!.

Great overnight staycation with our kids. The resort is clean and the staff is super friendly. There is a variety of planned activities for the kids. We stayed during October and LOVED the Halloween decorations as well as the Trick-or-Treat experience. Our room was the only criticism we had. The heater made a noise that didn't allow us to sleep very well. There was a water stain on the ceiling. Other than that, the room was clean and very large. We found all other areas of the hotel to be in good shape and there were a variety of food options so you could stay on site to eat all meals.

Finally decided to splurge and try out great wolf lodge during fall break. No issues during check, room was outdated, had stale smoke smell to it and stains everywhere on the carpet. Liked the ease of the wristbands (being able to
Purchase things, open room door).
The wait times for the water slides was ridiculous! We waited 30 mins on a Wednesday afternoon. Our 7 year was so unimpressed he didn’t even want to stay the next day after check out to continue swimming. Def won’t waste our money staying here again.

Having only 1 person for 2 slides is AWFUL for your guests. Do you not care about how satisfied your guests are or just how much money you save by cutting that employee? I know for sure since this is our 4th visit to this location that they used to have 1 person PER SLIDE and now its 1. You might only have 20 people in line in front of you but it is gonna take FOREVER to get to ride. Also sidenote: the water seemed like it could be a little warmer. I saw several children shivering & cold. Our room was fine ... some workers were good & some were not. Had a bad experience from a man in the arcade but a GREAT experience from a lady that works in the pizza shop. For the amount of money it costs to stay here, it is not fun to spend most of your water time waiting in long times bc they have cut back on employees.
