We stayed 3 nights in a loft suite on the fourth floor and had a great time. The maid service was a little slow but it was clean and very nice. Kids had a blast at water park and buffet at loose moose was great. Will definately be back. Stay away from Kings Island Resort across the street. It is the dirtiest, mold infested hotel on the planet. Worth the extra money to stay at Great Wolf!

My kids loved this place! What's not to love? A huge water park, plenty of sweets to eat, activities, an arcade, a kids spa and a gift shop. Only have very very minor complaints such as not that great of a soda selection in vending machines and in the shops. Only Coca-Cola products and we got bored with the selection. Also the soda prices were pretty high which I think was really to be expected as with everything else. So, to solve this, bring your own soda! They have a great selection of things to eat and I loved the breakfast sandwiches at the Pizza Hut express. Very tasty and actually very cheap. Also if you take aspirin for any reason you'll need to bring your own as we tried to find some in the hotel and they only carry Excedrin. We loved that there was a Starbucks inside. There is also WiFi throughout the resort which is great.
As far as the waterpark itself goes, it was a blast! Only thing I would change is that in some areas the lifeguards are too lenient and in other areas they are too strict. In the kiddie pool area there is a basketball goal and little basketballs that go with it. I understand there are only 2 basketballs but when a tiny child wants to play with them in another part of the pool, this should be acceptable. These are little bitty kids. Get more basketballs and relax when a little one wants to play with one 10 ft away from the goals. Also, on the slides there were people cutting in line and holding places for 10 of their friends. It should be first come first served and keep the line moving with no cutting. My husband and daughter had about 10 people run past them and almost knock them down and no one said a word about it.
All in all, a great, fun place to stay and our family wants to go back!

Room Tip: reserve way in advance

Our daughter attended cheerleading camp at Great Wolf Lodge. We wanted to watch her squad perform on the last day, but we did not make a reservation ahead of time since we were unsure of our schedule and arrival time. Because we arrived in Cincinnati earlier in the day than anticipated, we took a gamble and went to Great Wolf Lodge first to see if we could get a nice room at a reasonable rate. At the front desk Laura happily assisted my husband and gave us a wonderful deal. We were thrilled with our King Whirlpool Suite! The room and halls were immaculate. We ate in both restaurants, one for dinner and one for breakfast, and we were both very happy with each meal. At night we were able to step outside on our patio and watch the fireworks from Kings Island. Although we didn't use the waterpark, we had a great time seeing our daughter perform the next day. Our only tiny concerns were the speed of the internet (but it was free, so who can complain?) and the stomping and running of excited children on the floor above us, but again, it's a place for kids. so who can complain? It was a great overnight trip!

We have 2 kids (4 & 16m) and each played until they passed out! The room was clean, hotel staff were very pleasant and the number of things to do was perfect. We decided to stop and purchase snacks and food from a local Krogar rather than purchase food at very high prices on site. So I can't evaluate the food. The waterpark was great for the kids and the large number of lifeguards on duty was pleasing to see. The room itself was setup kind of awkward. The TV was placed on the credenza facing the wall divider in the room that separates the 2 queen bed area from the sofasleeper area....weird. Other than that the story time and kids activities and our overall stay was great!

Had about a 30 minute wait to check in at 4PM (check in time) in a very busy lobby. Wrist bands worked fine for us for opening doors and purchasing snacks/ beverages at waterpark. Many lifeguards, good sign. Kids loved it (ages 5 & 7).

I HIGHLY recommend that you stay on the top floor. We experienced stayed on the bottom floor (1031) and a family of about 20 who must've weighed 200 pounds each were above us and doing the Olympics in their room beginning at 7AM. Either they were the most rude and inconsiderate people or the walls and floor are paper thin. Front desk was called but nothing improved. Things were vibrating in our room because of them. Live and learn...
