Visited for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. Loved our food and this is definitely our go to place for breakfast in this area- bravo on the roast sweet potato dish! We were disappointed in the service this time around- no acknowledgement by staff when we arrived as they were too busy rudely gossiping about another customer, and the girl behind the coffee machine all but went out of her way to ignore us when we tried to grab her attention to ask a question. Another staff member was leaning with her back facing the counter scrolling through her Facebook. Coffee cups cleared hastily without the offer of another even though we had only just received our meals. Not a very welcoming experience which made it pretty obvious that the owner was not around that day.

Chanced upon Thirty Three Cups when we couldn't get a table in Dalton's a stone's throw away... and what a nice find! Trendy interiors, great coffee and spiced chai lattes, and a really cool menu... it's curry with rice was tasty but we wondered if the gravy came out of a tin.... still my melt-in-the-mouth crispy pork belly on tasty salad greens was the perfect balance to the pork's richness... giving me room to pair my mains with a charming sparkling wine!
So perfect we returned a few weeks later for brunch this time: its vegan Mexican inspired whole roast sweet potato was yummylicious! As was its pannacotta with donuts and poached pear! Despite polishing off generous serves, their lightness sat well with our preference of not over-indulging...
Coupled with friendly yet professional service, this is definitely our go to venue for food in Ulverstone!

Excellent coffee, menu and food quality, service and cafe vibe, in small town on the NW Coast. A short stroll to the local beach to walk off the delicious brunch.

We rode from Penguin to Ulverstone and wanted to have lunch here, as we had been here before, but not for a long time. So long in fact that we went to where they used to be and discovered that they had moved. We parked the bikes and sat outside as it was a lovely day and the sun was shining. I had the corn fritters and my partner had the tofu omlette, both of which were so yummy and so beautifully presented. The service was good and the staff are very friendly. We love this café and will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Thoroughly recommend a visit to this café.
