What a spectacular dining room - renovated in an old building, it has been beautifully renovated with Scandi references, pale wood floors and cast iron doors. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly from arrival through dinner and sitting by the fire after.
The food is local and beautifully prepared - a tomato and fennel salad with a flavour bomb. Chicken liver parfait was exceptional. The lamb and steak for main course was perfectly cooked and the local Pinot was paired it with perfect.
This is part of a retreat hotel and many of the guests were staying there (we were not). It's relaxed and casual despite the beautiful surroundings.
We had a gorgeous evening.
