Stayed in a room in the Huon Cottage opposite the waterfront. The room was a bit on the small side and the facilities fairly basic. The ensuite bathroom was also on the small side & had a real musty smell. Otherwise the room was clean & there was a good view across the harbour from the balcony. It was also a fair distance to cart the luggage up the walkway from the carpark, particularly as it was raining when we arrived. Check in was not drama and the staff friendly & helpful.
Unfortunately our whole experience at Strahan was soured by having the buffet dinner at their restaurant (View 42o) - without doubt the worst meal we have had in years - wouldn't let our dog eat here!!!
Would never stay here again & would not recommend - a drive around Strahan revealed there are plenty of other options for both accommodation & dining in the town.More
