Perfect stay in a great location. Well thought out breakfast included in a well appointed room.
Nice view of the harbor and nothing is too far away. Strahan is a small town.
Easy checkin if arriving after hours and staff were super communicative.
When we go back to Strahan, we will stay here again

As soon as we opened the door to our room 4 the mouldy smell hit us. We went into the bathroom and mould was on the ceiling and in the shower. The carpet was filthy. We booked for two nights, stayed one because we could not get anywhere else.
We had both windows open for fresh air and heater on high to keep us warm. The owner should be ashamed of themself for booking this out. As far as I am concerned this is a health issue and this room should not be given out till the matter is resolved.
Also the photos of the grounds do not reflect what we saw. We have traveled all around Tassie and I have to say DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOUR HEALTH is important to you.

Great location, however, the room had a mouldy smell, floors could have done with a good clean as well as the bathroom. The shower curtains had black hair which indicated that they hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival.
The room was not serviced during our 3 day stay. A little disappointing

We stayed in the James Kelly loft. The room was very spacious and cosy to stay in. Bathroom was nice and big with a good size spa. Shower over the spa.
Room had a microwave and small fridge which was handy to have along with dinner plates, bowls, coffee cups and cutlery.
A kitchen sink, oven and stove would be great to have in the room as that would have topped off the room just nicely.
We arrived to our room with the key in the door so no need to check in as the owner sends you a text message prior to you arriving.
There is a onsite guest laundry to use but only one washing machine and 2 dryers. Free to use.

Room tip: Parking is available on site and convenient to use. Play equipment outside for young kids

We stayed 2 nights here. The breakfast basket was probably enough for 2 mornings not just one. But was worth it we thought for the ease of not having to go get food. There was a small stove and enough things to cook with if you wanted to bring your own food. The views of the harbour from room 5 was magnificent. The bed was real comfy and the rooms were very clean. I just loved "My name is rag" smaller pieces of older towels to clean boots or makeup or anything else that you wanted to wipe so that you do not ruin the good towels for the next person. ( a must for all hotels, motor bike rider would love it)
Make sure you say hello to the gentle giant Atlas who is super friendly.
Thank you for a great stay

Room tip: A great place to spend a few nights for couples or families
