Addlestone House Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #1 of 4 St Marys B&B and Inns
Reviewed 12 March 2017 via mobile

This ranked as one of our best B and B stays ever; a beautiful, spotless, home with tasteful decorations, including vases of roses and carnations from the garden, a delightful host, every comfort supplied, a very comfortable bed, and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast (some of it freshly picked from Peter's garden). We felt welcome in Peter's home, where we were free to chat with him or be independent in the guest lounge or in the small sunroom attached to our room.
Peter has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making his guests' stays pleasant and memorable.

This is the cleanest bnb we have stayed in. Peter runs this by himself and he is an excellent host.
We even had our own sun room to sit in and have tea.
Flowers from the garden are in every room including the bathroom!
Peter's cooked breakfast was excellent. We were also able to taste his own honey.
We even had our fotos taken when we left for his Tripadvisor site.

Dear Christine and Neville,
Thank you very much for putting "pen to paper" and writing a review on your stay at Addlestone House. It is very pleasing to know that you had a rewarding B&B experience and were able to enjoy the honey from my bee hive. Now your portrait photos that I took are for your use only and so they will not be displayed on the Trip Advisor site (unless you wish to do so). Thank you again for your appreciative comments.

This B&B is a perfect base to trip around the North East quarter of Tasmania. Peter is a very welcoming host with plenty of helpful hints to avoid missing the various attractions. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable and the Pub is still serving good meals. We hope to return before too long.

Room Tip: Both rooms are lovely

Hi John & Catherine,
Thank you once again for calling in and making it your second visit to Addlestone House B&B since March 2011.
It was great to catch up over your two day stopover and it was good to enjoy dinner with you again at the St Marys Hotel and have a chat over breakfast.
A special thank you for again taking the time to post a complimentary review of your stay with me.
Bye for now
Peter

Stayed with Peter for two nights during our 3 week Tassie trip and couldn't fault his home nor his hosting skills. Would recommend to anyone as one of the best B&Bs we have experienced. Suit singles or couples. St Mary's is a great stopover point with lots of interesting points of interest which Peter is happy give info on.

We spent two nights at Addlestone House. Peter is a friendly and generous host, genuinely concerned to ensure that his guests have a good time. The house is beautifully appointed and offers everything you could possibly need. There is a good choice of continental or cooked breakfast, the latter cooked to order by Peter. St Marys and nearby Fingal are interesting historic towns and Evercreech Forest offers stunning walks.

Room Tip: Both rooms are on the ground floor at the front of the house and are equally good.
