“Perfect stay”

I stayed here with my husband and two young children. The house is beautiful, tastefully furnished and very spacious. The owners, Richard and Donna, go to a lot of effort to provide every convenience you could need from umbrellas to laundry powder to games for the kids. The house is across the road from a beautiful beach where my daughter enjoyed collecting shells and is a few minutes from Port Arthur historic site. The log fire adds a lovely ambience on a cold day. It was a pleasure staying here and I cannot recommend it enough.

“Lovely, comfortable home”

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our Tasmania trip. The house is very comfortable with lovely views out over Safety Cove beach. It's on a super quiet street, and has some lovely landscaping, so it's very attractive. It's right near the Port Arthur historic site. It's also close to the office for Tasman Island Cruises (HIGHLY recommend) and also the Tasmanian Devil Conservation Park. We slept very soundly here despite the jet lag and would happily stay again. One thing to note: if you are planning to self-cater, consider stocking up in Sorrell on your way down. The local supermarket, in Nubeena, is fairly limited, but more importantly, closes at six pm, at least during the shoulder season.

“BEAUTIFUL VIEWS.”
Reviewed 18 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We stayed as 2 couples for 2 nights.
Comprises of a bedroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms with a 2nd bathroom downstairs
Really great views with everything you could want for an extended stay..
Great open fire which is hard to find. Plenty of firewood downstairs.
It was so nice sitting beside the fire drinking a lovely bottle of Tasmanian Pinot Noir.
We never actually met the owner,, only spoke on the phone but were very helpful and friendly.
The stairs up to the top level are very steep so would not be suitable for very young children.

“What a find!”
Reviewed 11 June 2013 for a stay in June 2013

If you are looking for a place to stay with family or friends at a great price Burilda Waters is definitely it. The house was lovely and clean and with 3 bedrooms plus a sofa bed in the downstairs living area all 4 of us had our own space. The wood fire was a delight on a cold Winters night. Close to Port Arthur but so quiet and peaceful to visit.

The only tiny thing missing were some wine glasses but we made do with the champagne ones :)

Management Response

Dear Kate,

Thank you for your lovely review and feedback. We were not aware that all our wine glasses had been broken and our cleaner did not know that we had replacement glasses in our store room. The wine glasses have now been replaced.
