“Extraordinary comfort in a pristine location.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 February 2016

For ultimate ''peace" there is none to compare to that found at this magnificent abode, idyllically perched bordering the clear blue waters of the Tasman Sea. Its eco friendly vibes are evident upon entry. Timber cabins are scattered over a large bushland setting. Our room was comfy and homely with breathtaking views of the ocean below and sharing the wildlife day and night. Little cute critters come to visit regularly.
The veranda is superb perching spot as is the small functional cooking space. The restaurant is cozy with excellent fare as well as having other eating options a short drive away. Staff are breezy and helpful with great knowledge of their patch.
We used our days to walk with many options finishing on the beach for loitering and the stiff chill embrace of the waters. The beach is a short hop from the cabins. There are ample drives through the National Park to suit your time or pleasurable inclinations.
Tip..... just putting a sign "clean my room" does not always translate into action. So, make a request at the desk on your daily way out. Its also a great location for winding down apres the long hikes and as a tryst for amorous reconnections.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Freycinet Lodge. Our cabin was comfortable, spacious, clean and beautifully situated close by the water. Breakfast, which was served from the restaurant overlooking the bay, was very good and the staff welcoming and friendly.

Food standard has dropped in the bistro over the last year. Steak was very rare, as they couldn't cook or understand a request for medium to rare and it was just stuck on top of the fries, my wife had the curry, no sign of the rice as it was buried under a very hot curry tasting of overkill of paprika, they used to serve it in individual dishes.

Thank you Andrew for taking the time to review our Bistro, all comments are welcomed and appreciated as they identify areas where we can improve. This isn't the usual feedback and we are truly disappointed that we have not met expectations during your experience.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and functional. Dinner in the Bistro was lovely and the Wallaby was very tasty. The breakfast buffet is standard and a decent coffee would have been appreciated. The location of the Lodge is excellent but it needs a big refurbishment if the current pricing remains in place. Start at the Bistro, then move to the cabins.

Room No.2 has a great view - you seem to be sitting just above the water. Otherwise, the cabin is ok - comfortable and tastfully fitted out - but not really what you would expect when paying over $400. Its worth staying or eating here for the view
