One night stay in an older style motel complex but functional. Complex appeared rather full which is always good to see, and we were upgraded to an upstairs room which was spacious. Stairs leading up were very steep and tread depth too small. The bottom of railing could have done with a clean from accumulated bird droppings. Free wifi always a bonus.

Is close to the harbour entrance to watch sunrise / sunset and in walking distance to the surf club for a nice breakfast and coffee. Its a 10-15 minute stroll to the centre of Devonport for an evening meal. A list of recommended close by restaurants provided by owner was appreciated.

Note older Tripadvisor reviews indicate onsite restaurant - this is now closed, but we were aware of this before booking.

We checked in very late off the Spirit of Tasmania and so we were only in the motel for less than ten hours. The room was clean, the water in the shower hot with good flow however the mattress on the bed was old, soft and very uncomfortable resulting in a very poor nights sleep. Overall, the motel is reasonably priced however I won’t stay again because of the mattress issue. The owners seemed pleasant and friendly.

We stayed here for one night during our brief passing through of Devonport. The rooms are reasonably priced and you certainly get a good deal for the money. The staff are very friendly and hardworking. The rooms clean and tidy with some useful complimentary items such as biscuits and cereal. Would recommend

We were isolated by the government at the Sunrise due to corona virus, so it wasn't a normal stay for us. But we had such a great experience there, I wanted to leave a review.
Our room was great!! Very spacious and comfortable with plenty of light. We also had a small kitchenette with everything you'd need for a short stay. Wi-Fi worked great, even with the higher demand of bored isolaters!
All the staff were really friendly, especially Helen who always made some time to chat with us, despite all her work. They even went to the extra effort of going out each day to get things for us from the shops.
Once we are all able to travel freely again, I highly recommend the Sunrise for your time in NW Tasmania.

My visit this time has been a little different to my normal stays as this time I, along with several others, were allocated this property to Isolate.
Well I feel I drew the lucky straw. The staff here have been very sympathetic to our position and have done every thing to make our 14 day stay as smooth and relaxing as possible.
The rooms are well appointed and very clean, that's thanks to the dedicated staff.
Our meals that have come out of the restaurant have been great with good variety, I can say I am lucky to be allocated this property for forced isolation, but I will be returning when things settled down to thank the Sunrise Crew for their hospitality and to experience the property under normal conditions and to also experience the onsite Camille Restaurant.
