We were delighted with our cabin accommodation, particularly the joys of a pre-set potbelly stove on a cool summer's evening. There were many nice touches, such as pen and paper and boxes of tissues, and it was very spacious. Our cabin had full laundry facilities, and the kitchen facilities were fine. I'll certainly return.

I was surprised to read so many bad reviews and complaints about the rude owner. Can't be the same Louise we met during our stay. In fact she was absolutely helpful and friendly and we really appreciated chatting with her. And running a place like that on your own with 9 units in a remote location where it's hard to find additional staff is surely somewhat impressive.
The chalets are surely not a 5-star hotel room, but you neither want nor expect that in this location. They're clean, well appointed and with all the amenities you need and really comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here.
And thanks again, Louise, for the quick bike rescue!

Thank you for your review. It is very difficult finding staff in such a remote location but being able to live and work in such a beautiful location makes the effort worthwhile. We trust you enjoyed your stay and hope you will visit again.

We had the same experience as the previous 2 reviewers... Don't expect any kind of a warm welcome here. Just fill in your card details and drop the key in the box when you leave. When I asked about the wifi as it is advertised as wifi throughout I was promptly told "We are not sharing it as its not working properly" ...but the signal in the Studio was very strong.
Studio extremely clean but signs around the unit are full of "donuts or you will be charged".
Stay here if you absolutely have to but there are better options.

The mobile internet is a constant problem in this area with slow downloads despite a strong signal. There is only one tower to be shared by all. Recent outages and extremely slow downloads have made restrictions necessary.

I simply hate providing negative feedback on Tripadvisor. I have so many great experiences. This was most definitely not one of them. The simple point is the lady managing the bookings was rude and defiant when I attempted to cancel my booking. She glossed over the wording used on a prominent page on their website and quoted the fine print two-levels down within their booking pages. She's an owner and, of course, can set her business rules as she wishes - but she needs some serious coaching on how to execute them in a more friendly and hospitable manner. How they were awarded a Trip Advisor "Certificate of Excellence" is a puzzle to me. My advice to readers of this review is to read the fine print on cancellation chargea so that you know what you will be up for if your plans change and you can be prepared for charges you will be rudely "reminded" of and uncompromisingly hit with when you call.

The owner at reception was exceptionally rude, authoritative and bossy from the start. The rooms were SO clean and organised, we were afraid to use anything for fear we would be charged for the privelige; re-inforced by numerous signs throughout the unit. My advice; travel 20 minutes up the road to Bronte Park and get the same unit for the same price by some of the most friendly people in the Highlands!

Room tip: Go up the road to Bronte Park Chalets!
