This was the chosen location for an overnight stay. Upgraded to a room that overlooked the trees and was greeted by a wallaby outside our door. Arrived late so not much to do except enjoy a drink at the bar and a lovely meal at the restaurant. Food was good and attentive service. Room was clean and beds comfortable. A very good selection for breakfast. Overall impression was excellent and will return.

One of only 2 quality venues near the Park, this Hotel offers excellent rooms, F&B and very personable staff (Emillie was very helpful at the front desk!). Parking gives easy access to the rooms. Rooms very spacious, relatively quiet, offered "mezzanine bed" with living area below and balcony to get "out into nature" just outside your door!! Worth the stay!!

Room Tip: Get a room with a mezzanine - adds lots of character and space!

I have stayed here on numerous occasions now and yet to be disappointed. The hotel offers several different styles of rooms for all travelers. The food choices are slightly expensive and not a huge range for children, but there are other restaurants in the near by vicinity if this is not to your liking. Definitely try to stay here when it is snowing as it creates a fantastic atmosphere.

Room Tip: If traveling as a couple definitely choose the King room. Quiet and great views of the bushland areas

What a beautiful motel in a beautiful part of Tasmania. Room clean, spacious with great scenery. Staff so friendly and as is the wildlife. Arrived and was greeted by an echidna roaming the grounds. Woke to pademelons and their babies outside my window. I even had a friendly currawong visit me in my room. Make sure you keep the balcony doors closed because they love to explore. The scenery is breathtaking and there is a short walk on a boardwalk in front of the motel. Laundry facilities are onsite, $3 per load & $1 for washing powder. I purchased a scarf and vest from reception area and found the pricing quiet cheap compared to other areas. Buffet food was amazing. The desserts delicious. Breakfast was also great. This motel is great value and is also close to cradle mountain/dove lake etc. The bed was super comfy, for some though they were too soft, but perfect for me, great nights sleep. You can also get a massage onsite. Would not hesitate in staying here again, was perfect. Also pack for the cold as it can turn very cold very quickly

Room Tip: Rooms looking over the front of the motel, where boardwalk is

Spacious and comfortable rooms with all the facilities you need, even a tiny little balcony! Includes Appelles amenities, tea/coffee making and biscuits. Buffet dinner and breakfast has a great variety. Nice bar and lounge area with fireplace, TV and pool table. Expensive but a great hotel.
