Marist Old Scholars Reunion FIRST choice!
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 6 Aug 2018
The Menai is the perfect spot for our yearly reunions, and the staff is friendly and obliging. There is plenty of room at The Menai, we can spread out, relax and enjoy our evening with fellow students, some we have not seen for over 50 years!!
Meal selection is great, drinks reasonable and the time just flew...we laughed and reminisced the night away with another night to remember at THE MENAI...
And found out AC/DC played there back in the seventies, what a night that would have been!!! I am looking forward to our big 60th next year....Barry Saltmarsh

We are locals who eat out regularly While the restaurant food is good and value for money we won't be returning until summer. The restaurant is huge and cold. It needs to be sectioned off and either the heat pump cranked up or a good wood fire put in the fireplace.

I’m reviewing this as a business traveler and what is important to me when traveling.

This hotel was dated but for the cost wasn’t expecting much more.

The water pressure in the shower was ordinary.

The bed was nice and firm. The pillows were dreadful. Really need to be replaced.

Staff were very nice.

Pub patrons on Saturday night/ Sunday morning very rowdy

The rooms are very reasonably priced, clean and functional. Not far from Burnie CBD and free parking. I thought the facilities here were good. The bar and restaurant were relaxed, reasonably priced and a pleasant way to end your day. The lady who ran the bar and restaurant was awesome, friendly and super helpful. She made our stay that much better. Would happily come back here.

A small steak priced at $30 I would expect to be if reasonable quality. It was thin, over-cooked and full of gristle. Sauce was flavourless and the salad consisted of a few small pieces of lettuce, tomato and a couple of pieces of capsicum. For the price it was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten. Save your money and eat somewhere else.
