My husband and I enjoyed a great morning exploring the Inala property with the brilliant nature guide Cat. As ecologists we were eager to tick off as many Tasmanian endemic birds as possible and learn about Bruny’s natural assets. Cat’s knowledge extended well beyond the birds leaving us with a wealth of knowledge and an eagerness to return to enjoy this stunning part of the world. Cat helped us tick off a bunch of endemic birds including the much sought after forty-spotted pardalote.
If we were to do things differently next time we would stay at the on-site accomodation and do longer tours to make the most the wildlife encounters. It’s difficult to find an operator that is truly invested in sustainable tourism and actively seeks to deliver positive conservation outcomes. From the way the property is managed to the style in which the tours are run, the team at Inala really do a fantastic job for their clients and as true custodians on this unique property.
Thanks a bunch!
Nick and Sonny
Dear Nick and Sonny,
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review, we are so glad that you enjoyed your tour with Cat at Inala and we are thrilled that you feel the same way as we do about being custodians of Bruny's remarkable nature. We hope we shall get a chance to welcome you back one day to stay at Inala,
Very best wishes from us all
I just spent 3 nights at Inala with my adult son. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Inala. The bird/animal life is abundant . We saw the forty spotted pardolotes and photographed a grey goshawk from the Raptor hide. Cat our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We learned a great deal about the fragile ecosystem on Bruny and the conservation work that they are doing there. The accommodation was very comfortable. Inala is also a great base from which to explore other parts of this beautiful island. I would certainly recommend Inala as a place to stay for a few days. I stayed for three but wish that i had stayed a few more days.
Dear John,
Thank you very much for your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your time birding at Inala, your explorations of the Inala Reserve and your time in the Raptor Photography Hide. It was very lovely having you both to stay and hope that you get to return again to stay a bit longer and explore even more corners of beautiful Bruny Island.
A wonderful couple of days at Inala, Bruny. Comfortable accommodation in beautiful surroundings, with friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand to guide and advise. The early-morning tour with Cat was a particular highlight.
In challenging times, it's great to know that there are such individuals/groups committed to the cause of conservation and regeneration.
Dear Johno,
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so delighted that you enjoyed your time with us at Inala . It was great pleasure having you both stay with us and we are delighted that the property tour with Cat around the conservation reserve was a highlight for you. We hope to welcome you back one day,
Very best wishes,
My partner and I booked an inala nature and weren't too sure what to expect.
We were blown away by the tour, our personal guide Kat was amazingly knowledgeable and very good at spotting all the different wildlife types around! We had a wonderful time talking about nature and seeing wonderful endemic and endangered species in their natural habitat.
The Jurassic garden is equally as amazing and so is the museum.
If you are looking for the hidden gem on Bruny this is it! We could not recommend it more highly for locals and tourists!
The only regret my partner and I have is not staying on the property so we could spend more time there!
I feel this is going to be a regular visiting spot of ours now.
Thank you Inala we look forward to coming back in the near future.
Thank you for such a lovely review and for taking the time to tell others about your time at Inala. We are thrilled you discovered Inala and enjoyed your walking tour of the Conservation Reserve with Cat. We can't wait to welcome you back again, hopefully to stay in one of our cosy cottages.
Very best wishes,
Two tours, two islands - lots of birds. Andrew led us in a multi-day excursion to two of Tasmania’s special islands. We saw many birds including all but one of the Tassie endemics, pademelons, quolls and possums. Andrew provided a stimulating and informative commentary on all that we saw and we particularly enjoyed his knowledge of the plants that support such unique wildlife. The accommodation on Inala was perfect for this type of adventure, the meals are of a high standard and the whole team made our time with Inala a pleasure. We would gladly recommend Inala for your wildlife travels once the world opens up again but especially if you are a looking for something special in Australia right now. The conservation ethos espoused, promoted and practiced by Inala is just what the world needs so be sure to give them your support.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.
We are so delighted that you enjoyed your tours with Andrew to two of Tasmania's most beautiful and wildlife filled islands and we are thrilled that staying with us at Inala on Bruny was also so enjoyable for you.
It was a pleasure meeting you and having you to stay and hope that we get to see you again one day,
Very best wishes from us all.
Angus and Tonia did an amazing job, taking our small group around Australia's Top End in late June, early July. We managed to stay one step ahead of the Covid lockdowns, and a big thank-you to Mandy and the office staff who had a lot of re-arranging to do with out itinerary and accommodation.
And what an awesome trip it was, with some great birds. Gouldian Finch, Hooded Parrots, Rainbow Pitta and a host of others.
My 2nd trip with Inala, and I look forward to travelling with them again in the near future.
Dear Randall, Thank you so much for your lovely review and your very lovely photographs, it means a great deal to us and we are just delighted that we managed to squeeze in the tour between lockdowns.
Delighted you had such a great selection of birds in the Top End and we would be thrilled to tour with you again.
Best wishes,
Tonia, Angus and the whole Inala team
