This motel was very comfortable. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The dining room was also excellent which was attached to the bowling club. It is within walking distant to the town. The staff are very helpful.

This was a very off-beat pick for accommodation. We had never heard of a bowling club with motel rooms, but after finding that the swish boutique hotel in Tenterfield did not do twin rooms ( and being made to feel very second class citizens for asking). we thought "why not"! A happy chance as the bowling club is close to the town centre, but away from the busy major highway, carrying traffic between Queensland and the South.

The rooms were modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The very reasonable room rate ($110 twin or double) included a Continental breakfast of cereal and toast in the room and generous supplies of tea and coffee.

There are two banks of rooms; the one we selected facing the bowling greens. Each room has an outdoor area, shielded from the neighbours. Even with a young family of boisterous kids next door, we did not feel hassled.

Staff were polite and very helpful.

One minor problem was the dodgy wi-fi internet. If you cannot access the motel wi-fi, the club-rooms are close enough to give passable signal quality.

Room tip: If you don't like the sound of green preparation in the morning, suggest you choose rooms on the East side of the motel. We did not find it intrusive as this did not start until about 8:00am

Super place to stay, handy to walk over to clubhouse for dinner and a few drinks, complimentary breakfast is very convenient too. The staff very kindly forwarded on some belongings we had left in our room, at no cost.

Room tip: Rooms facing the road have a small courtyard area.

This motor inn was excellent with a small breakfast included, drinks and meals at the club and you could take it back to your room. An excellent stop over for people of any age, and whether travelling for business or pleasure. Highly recommend.

Room tip: Rooms 1-10 are more private. 11-20 have an outlook over the greens.

Found this place by chance and glad we did. Very friendly reception, excellent tariff. Comfy beds, very clean and great bathroom. Small continental breakfast provided in the room at no extra cost.
And off the highway so very quiet. Highly recommend this if passing through Tenterfield.
Don't forget to check out the F111 memorial just up the road.
A short walk to the Tenterfield Tavern for a fabulous meal.
