We visited this pub back in May, when by chance we saw there was a pub in this village on the OS map while we were out walking. I have had quite a job finding it on Trip Advisor, which is a pity because it deserves more publicity. We opted to have a Sunday lunch and were walked through from the bar area into the Resturant, which was cosy and spacious. It was quite busy with locals, which is always a good sign and the lunch menu consisted of four different meats with 'all the trimmings'. I opted for the roast lamb and my husband had the vegetarian cottage pie. Both meals came with fresh vegetables and gravy in a separate gravy boat so you could add as much/little as you liked. They did a set price for one, two or three courses. The food was hot and tasty and nicely presented. They delivered drinks to your table as you needed them and if you ask, you can connect to their wifi. The landlord seemed very young but very competent and the staff were welcoming and efficient. The meal was excellent value for money. I see from other reviews that this pub has recently been taken over and refurbished. They need to raise their profile a bit on TA as they deserve to do well. We will definitely visit again, when we are next in the area.
