We first checked this place out earlier this year and have now been three times with another booking for a family birthday at the end of this month.

It's an unexpectedly basic/un-fancy (for want of better words) looking restaurant above Quigleys Bar in Rugby but don't let that put you off at all, after a few visits it feels a bit more like a surf-shack vibe. Anyhow the steak, which is what you're going for, is excellent you can't beat the fillet, the staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Service is attentive but not in your face.

Is best to book regardless of the night of the week as they get a lot of party bookings from what we've seen so while you may well be able to get a table by just rocking up it's not guaranteed. Popularity is usually a good sign :oD

Handy tip - move your steak off the stone to the side plate and cut off chunks and cook them individually on your lava stone. Perfection every time!

Took some visitors & a colleague for their first time to On the Rocks. I’ve been a few times and never been disappointed. All were happy to cook their meals - mainly sirloin all round - though most would balk at the idea of paying to cook your own meal. Give them a try - and whilst you are there have a Rhubarb & Ginger G&T.
