Whilst all Premier Inns conform to a certain standard, some go that little bit extra and this is one of those. A friendly welcome from the on duty receptionist, who even though nearing the end of a long shift was still smiling, made me feel at ease after my 6 hour journey.
The room itself, the regular Premier inn corporate decor, was spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfy and, despite being only a few minutes off the A1, the room was really quiet. My only gripe, and it is really minor, is that the remote for the TV wasn’t working properly, changing channels was hit and miss. But the rest of my stay negated this one small point.
Breakfast is served in the hotel and was superb. All you can eat (£9.50). Whilst at first seems a tad pricey, it really is all you can eat and the quality is excellent. Cooked to perfection and presented really well, served by a waitress who was really helpful and friendly. It really set me up for the day and I have no hesitation in recommending it to you. (There is a Toby Carvery the other side of the car park for drinks and evening meals too!) More
