Only ok - nothing special..
The food choices were very limited with mains starting at £12 for fish, chips and mushy peas. My chicken with pasta and sauce was actually quite nice, but came with the strange addition of purple sprouting broccoli. My partners fillet steak was slightly overcooked and was tarted up with onion petals and a very odd mushroom puree.
Possibly trying to be too different perhaps?
Poor quality main course food, cold veg. Little or no fish flesh. No taste & no one asked if I was happy with the food
We've called before and particularly enjoyed shredded duck wraps but this time we had starters of Shropie Blue scone followed by one steak course and one duck course. Both cooked to our tastes with excellent service. We look forward to our next call.
Popped in for a brief stop while my wifes car was being serviced and ordered a couple of sausage sandwichs and coffees, the total bill was just short of £15.
So we went to our table expecting something special, but boy were we disappointed when they eventually arrived. The sanwiches comprised 2 overdone sausages slapped between two slices of stale bread. The coffees were not much better being really strong and stewed in a normal tea cup size cup.
Our experience was completed by the waitress who asked if we would like any sauces with our sandwiches and althought we replied in the affirmative she disappeared never to be seen again.
