Overall we enjoyed our 2 day break here during the Easter holidays.
Day 1 was rainy which meant the park wasn’t too busy although some of the rides were closed intermittently. We managed to squeeze in 6 rides which was acceptable.
However day 2 was a beautiful spring day and the crowds flocked in! Luckily we were staying at the hotel so we had early access and managed to do a few rides (Wickerman, Thirteen and Rita) before it got too busy. We ate our lunch in the gardens which are well worth seeing if you have time.
Due to the queues we only managed one ride in the afternoon (Oblivion). The board outside said the queue was 50 mins but it actually took us well over 2 hours. In fact the queue times on most rides were wildly inaccurate and seemed totally random. I didn’t see any staff handing queue timers to the riders so not sure how they measure the times?
The hotel, rides and gardens are excellent but until they sort out the queueing I will only give it 1 star. We weren’t too badly affected ourselves but is still an issue they need to address.
