The view is beatiful from this apartment. It is a comfortable place and lovely and warm. The bed is comfy and we slept well. The apartment is well located in Porlock, a short walk from the village centre with all its amenities. The beach is not a sandy beach but there are some great coast, wetland & countryside walks from the door. Porlock is a pretty village - it is quiet and has everything you need, shops, eateries, pubs etc. Dunkery apartment is up a lot of quite narrow steps and through the owners hallway. The owners are dog friendly and have a dog of their own but it stays in their rooms and never really saw it. The hosts were polite and welcoming and just left us alone which was great as we prefer this. There is no bath in the apartment but a tiny shower room/toilet/sink which was perfectly usable and modern. There are terraced gardens at the backof the house with lots of seating areas and a pond, too. And there is just about enough parking at the front for small-average sized cars. You can't let your dog off here but there are secure dog fields nearby especially for dog owners to use. Negatives were that, though everything works, the kitchen could do updating and some of the windows can't be opened as they are too rickety, though there were no drafts that we noticed.
