“Little Mayfield”
Reviewed 29 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Little Mayfield. I think this is the nicest holiday cottage we have stayed in. Immaculately presented and very clean. There are clean towels provided and milk in the fridge. The outdoor space was great and we managed to sit out on the few sunny evenings that we had. It is also a great location for exploring beautiful Somerset both on foot and by road. There is also a lovely pub close by. The WiFi is also good, which meant our 14 year old daughter was happy! Donna, the owner, is easy to contact and got back to me very quickly with any queries. She also provides lots of information about the property and the area. We will definitely be returning to Little Mayfield. We would love to go back in the winter just to use the fantastic log burner in the lounge! And for another delicious cream tea that was left for us when we arrived!

“Great cottage, great location”
Reviewed 2 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

What a great cottage this is. When we arrived it did not look very big from the outside but what a big surprise we got when entering it as all the rooms are lovely with lots of space. The cottage was lovely and clean and very well presented and looked after, we had everything we needed. The garden is all enclosed and safe for our dog to be outside on her own and could not escape. There are lots of walks to do straight from the cottage door so a car was not needed all the time, the beach at Kilve was just a 5 minute car ride away. There is a pub at the bottom of the drive and it did lovely meals reasonable priced and other places to eat within a few minutes away. The owners - Donna and Mickey live just next door and were lovely very friendly but never obtrusive but there if needed and nothing was too much trouble for them. We will recommend this cottage to family and friends. Thanks to Donna and Mickey for making our visit to beautiful Somerset so good.

“Delightful Cottage in Holford”
Reviewed 15 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Stayed here for five nights in July. Central location at the foot of the Quantox Hills and a very short drive to the coastline at Kilve. Explored the West Somerset area with lovely views and many nearby walks.
Stopped to get in supplies in Bridgewater at Morrisons (half hour).
Little Mayfield is a former store and post office converted into a charming and cozy two bedroom cottage with a large living area (real wood burning fire!), modern kitchen and bathroom with a walk in shower. Good wi-fi included. Shared parking on site for one vehicle and a large patio area with table, chairs and umbrella (charcoal BBQ available but not used). Found to be private but easily accessed. Quiet at night. A few steps from the pub next door and a short walk up a side street to connect to local walks.
Sights in the area are highlighted by the West Somerset Railway and Dunster Castle plus walks and rambles!
Donna and Mickey left out a lovely cream tea for my arrival. Professional to deal with from start to end. Recommended without reservation. Hope to return on our next trip from Canada! Thank you for hosting me!

“Wonderful!”
Reviewed 8 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

It is in a lovely location, situated right at the foothills of the Quantocks perfect for walking the dog and would be perfect for hikers and mountain bikers alike.
The property is clean spacious and welcoming and the welcome cream scones were much appreciated!
We will definitely return as didn't manage to explore all Holford has to offer as only stayed four nights.
Thank you Donna and Mickey

Many thanks both for your lovely informative review. We are so glad you enjoyed your time spent at Little Mayfield, it was a pleasure having you and the doggies to stay. Sorry to hear about the signal being intermittent during your stay, perhaps the weather didn't help as we don't usually have a problem here. I can see it didn't ruin anything which is comforting! We do hope to see you in Somerset in the not to distant future and thank you again for both your custom and 5 Star review. Donna & Mickey
