If you are looking for a holiday cottage that is beautifully presented and maintained then look no further than this one! Upon entering you are presented with a large inglenook fireplace in a very cosy lounge with two very comfortable leather sofa's - full instructions and a supply of wood are provided to light the wood burner if you so desire! You then go through to the dining room which is a lovely and airy and being next to the kitchen, which has everything you can want, its great to sit and eat breakfast whilst trying to hear any noise from outside - other than the birds! . Up the traditional cottage stairs to a large main double room and bathroom with the additional twin room at the back and it is all very spacious. We visited Wells Cathedral, Chedder Gorge, Porlock, Dunster Castle and Glastonbury which are all within 30 miles of the property, whilst we were there. We spent each evening in the cottage, drinking wine and enjoying home cooked food as there was no need to go anywhere else. There are a few local shops as well in Stogursey where you can get all you need. I am looking forward to going back in the winter and trying out that fire!

Sorry Richard, but we do say no wifi in the cottage as it is not very good in the area so not to annoy guests with intermittent interference, we decided not to instate wifi.
As to the beds, we just put in standard size beds as access up the staircase was difficult enough! But glad you enjoyed the cottage and area and would welcome you to stay again.
Kind regards
Julie

“Well-appointed cottage in a charming village”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We enjoyed our week at Quantock Cottage very much. The village is well located for the hills and the coast (the power station is relatively hidden away). The cottage itself is an attractive building and set up very sensibly with everything you are likely to need.

“Amazing place to spend your holidays and recover”
Reviewed 28 May 2016 for a stay in March 2016

This cottage is an extraordinary beautiful and cosy place. It is pleasantly furnished, clean, very well equipped and has a beautiful garden. The village is peaceful with really nice people.
Walking our dog not just around Stogursey but also at the coastline and in the Exmoor Nationalpark was great. We still think of the wonderful days we spend at Quantock cottage and wish to be able to come back soon. Thanks Julie! You are a great host!

“Perfect peaceful hideaway”
Reviewed 23 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We have just had the pleasure of spending a weekend in this beautiful cottage. It's immaculately presented with everything you would need for a short break or fortnight's holiday. This is the perfect place to go to relax and enjoy country life. Julie ( the owner ) could not have been more helpful with advice on what to do while we were there. Also going the extra mile to leave a gift and birthday card for my husband! We really did not want the weekend to end we will definitely be booking again later in the year.
