Me and my beautiful new wife had to bring our wedding date forward so had to pick somewhere quickly to stay on our honeymoon and after reading some good reviews plumped for this hotel and wow what a stay. The staff were extremely friendly and only to pleased to help you in anyway possible from making you feel relaxed and comfy to carrying your drinks from where you are sitting waiting for your dinner to your dinner table, even only to happy to bring spring water and tea and biscuits to your room. The rooms were spacious, homely and the double Jacuzzi was to die for. As for the food it was just out of this world. The home made bread and butter, the delicious blueberry and almond tart with the most gorgeous home made pastry and the wonderfully cooked pigeon breast and pheasant, everything was delicious even the cooked breakfasts were better than anything you will ever try. If you are looking for a one off 5 star four course meal then the food alone is worth the stay. The courses were brought out gradually so you could digest every tasty morsel and not feel rushed into finishing. And when we went to congratulate one of the two chefs she was a young lady of about 21 but wow what a chef. We also had an in room massage from a
wonderful lady who although we paid her for two massages which lasted two hours she stayed for nearly three making us feel relaxed with foot spas, very friendly and we both had an absolutely fantastic massage. She was extremely professional, friendly and we definately reccomend this as part of your stay. Overall this hotel is five star on everything and we plan on going back every year for our anniversary especially as we can snuggle up by the warm log fires in the lounges while we sup on a nice pint of lager.
