Skate America hasn't changed much in the last 30+ years that I've known it but the ways it has are super positive! You wouldn't expect a skating rink to have good food and definitely not pizza but surprise they really do. They have a great pizza deal the last time we were there, it was a large pizza and a pitcher of soda for $19 or $20 and the pizza is pretty large. We always take pizza home even with three people eating. Great staff and it really can be hilarious just watching the little ones figure out the skates. The place is clean inside and out plus they have plenty of parking! Just be sure you call ahead for hours of operation. Finally they have a great birthday package and we had an awesome attendant for the party. She really went above and beyond!!!

We bought a groupon for this place and asked some of our friends-with-kids to go with us. We all had a blast! Of course, there are lots of little ones here, and as an adult, it felt kind of like skating through a minefield with lots of the kiddos spinning out or sprawling right in front of us. But, it's a kids' place. We got a pizza, and I was really surprised at how good it was. There are fun games for the when you need a break from skating. They even have little skating "walkers" for the little ones who are just learning to skate. Our friends' three-year-old did great with that assistance. This is a super-fun break from the ordinary.
