Great house really close to the beach and easy walk to Seahouses. Very quiet, with views of Bamburg Castle. The owner was extremely nice and helpful, and made our stay very comfortable. We had 8 adults and 6 kids and it worked out fantastic. Thank you!
The house is spacious and every need has been thought of and catered for. The kitchen is better equipped than my own! Furnishings are lovely. Garden is private, dog friendly and set up as two 'rooms'. We enjoyed the BBQ.
Sunshine House is a few minutes walk from the best beach walk ever - to Bamburgh, followed by coffee or lunch in its numerous pubs, restaurants and best of all The Copper Kettle with outside courtyard for dog owners.
Seahouses has lots of take aways and fish and chips. It is a proper seaside town without being over commercialised
Plenty of super places to eat including The Ship Inn at Lower Newton, The Barn at Beal and The Joiners Arms at Upper Newton
We will definitely be coming again
Booked for a family birthday. Lovely spacious house in a fantastic location. Just across the road from the beach & few minutes walk into the town centre. Owner made our visit very comfortable, everything we needed to hand. Would defiantly recommend. Great long weekend away.
Still love this house, it is our 3rd visit now as an extended family and sunshine house did not let us down from any of our previous visits.
We visited places old and new and enjoyed returning to the comfort of this spacious, well equipped welcoming house. Beautifully furnished, decorated and well equipped with all and more than you can imagine you may need.
Highly recommended for families, children, with or without dogs too. Thank you once again, I am sure we will be returning very soon.
This is the second time our group of friends have stayed here for a weekend trip to Seahouses. We returned without hesitation this year because we had such a gorgeous stay last year!
Clare is an excellent host, responding promptly and helpfully to every query before the stay.
The house is beautiful, with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. The kitchen is well-stocked with all sorts of utensils, there are towels for everyone, a huge array of DVDs/books/board games and it is all kept lovely and clean and well-presented. there are perfect big communal areas for spending time together (inside and out) and eating big shared meals as a group. The log-burning stove was a very welcome feature (though not strictly necessary as the house is kept so lovely and toasty warm!).
It's in a perfect location just minutes from the beautiful beach, and a very doable walk to Bamburgh.
We all have very find memories of two weekends now spent at this gorgeous house and we cannot recommend it highly enough to any group of people wanting somewhere comfortable to stay on the Northumberland coast!
