“Home from home.”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We stayed with our 2 children, during Autumn half-term. Walking into a very cosy and comfortable cottage with afternoon tea all ready in the kitchen, hit the right spot. Robert came to greet us and was very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay; in fact, the whole family is! Our youngest daughter thoroughly enjoyed herself feeding the chickens every day. We would highly recommend this cottage and its excellent facilities, looking forward to returning.

“Perfect family holiday”
Reviewed 21 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We had a lovely relaxing week staying in Robert's cosy cottage. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it just as much as the first - we arrived to a fire burning in the living room grate and the kitchen table set for tea with homemade cakes and scones. The cottage was clean, well presented and well equipped with lots of nice attention to detail. Our little girl loved visiting the llamas and playing on the swing and in the play house. There is lots to do in the area and we will definately be returning.

“Lovely week at Bluebell Cottage - a home from home!”

We have just had a really enjoyable stay at Bluebell cottage. The location is ideal, minutes from the A1 and Berwick but surrounded by fantastic countryside and superb views. We were welcomed by a roaring fire and a cream tea when we arrived and a little later in the afternoon Robert the owner came to greet us and was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was beautifully furnished with every mod con but still retaining its quaint character. We were very comfortable and loved the real coal fire in the evenings. We were very lucky with the weather and sat out on a couple of evenings star gazing as there is very little light pollution. There are loads of interesting places to visit within 30-60 mins drive and plenty of good places to eat. We would highly recommend Robert as a host and this cottage offers excellent value for money.

“Outstanding cottage”
Reviewed 14 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We have been to many self-catering cottages up and down the country but none come close to West Longridge cottages. They are beautifully located, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and the welcome by owner Robert is second to none; exquisite scones and cakes to enjoy after your long journey and a roaring fire to warm the whole cottage. Unlike most self-catering cottages run by corporate chains, whose purpose is to extract maximum profit, the homeliness and quality of West Longridge cottages reflect the care and attention to detail that is so important to Robert. It’s very clear that his passion is to run the best cottages in the area, he works tirelessly to this end and never cuts any corners. Every year that we return to Bluebell we’re delighted by the updates he makes to the furniture and décor.

“Fabulous accommodation & views, a complete joy”
Reviewed 28 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

There was a roaring fire in the cottage on our arrival, it was so welcoming. The cottage is traditional and homely but has been brought up to date with modern facilities, having a private garden area overlooking the stunning countryside was an added bonus and private off the road parking is a plus. The cottage is located in a peaceful area but is near enough to the main A roads to afford easy access to all local areas and tourist attractions. A wonderful holiday that did not last long enough, can't wait to go back.
