“Peace and Tranquility”

We have just returned from West Longridge Farm Cottages, our Annual chill out trip!
This our 15th visit, we have previously stayed in Bluebell or Honeysuckle Cottage but on this occasion we stayed in Primrose.
The cottage was just as expected, spotlessly clean (Robert has very high standards!) very well equipped and very comfortable.
These cottages are fitted with everything you would have at home, possibly more as not everyone has dishwashers and tumble driers!
The only thing they don't have is wifi however the 4G connects very well. If you want to escape for a few days lack of wifi is a good thing!
2 of the 3 cottages + the garden house have downstairs bedrooms with disabled friendly en suites.
The cottages are 2.5 miles from Berwick so you need a car unless you are there particularly for a walking holiday.
We don't have children but there are play facilities and they would love the chickens and Llamas.
Pets are not allowed as the cottages are on a working farm.

We love the peace of being out in the countryside, the location is ideal for exploring Northumberland and The Scottish borders and each cottage has an extensive supply of information leaflets for suggestions for days out and activities. We still find new things to do even after so many visits

“Great cottages”
Reviewed 4 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

From our arrival to departure our stay was great. Cream tea, cakes and roaring open fire on arrival. Friendly and helpful owner and family nothing was too much trouble.. Plenty of coal and logs for the fire, tea, milk, all towels and everything set up for our stay. The facilities were superb, cosy lounge, en-suite bedroom another bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and brilliant views from all rooms. We will go back another year, it was central to visit both Northumberland and the borders even taking a train ride to Edinburgh.

“Wonderfully relaxing holiday”
Reviewed 2 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

From the welcome scones and chocolate cake on arrival to the feeding of the llamas on the final morning, the week at Primrose cottage was a wonderfully relaxing one. Our two year old grandson loved the chickens, sheep, calves and rabbits; the play house and slide and the fascination of a real fire. Robert was the perfect host and West Longridge the ideal base for exxploring the Northumberland coast and Scottish Borders. Can't rate this place highly enough!

“180 degree views of borderlands and starry skies, Georgian vibe with roaring fires and clucking chickens”
Reviewed 26 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Spent a wonder-filled week here with un-seasonally fabulous weather! Accommodation comfortable with all required facilities for two late octogenarians and a wheelchair user - views stupendous of border hills - from Cheviots in South west to 3 Sisters West and Pentlands North, unimaginably clear skies carpeted in stars and crescent moon, sunsets to die-for with a glass of white wine on the terrace. Great stuff!

“Fantastic place to stay”
Reviewed 15 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Just back from a relaxing week at this top of the range holiday cottage
When I stayed here about four years ago the cottage was great and I have been very impressed by the fact that the owner continually improves, upgrades and refurbishes to the highest standards.. Northumberland is fabulous and this cottage is a home from home with lovely top quality furnishings and great facilities in a rural area. The owner is friendly, professional very helpful, hope very much to visit again.
