“Peaceful retreat, beautiful area”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The house is excellent! Well equipped, efficient little kitchen. Games to play on rainy days. Lovely covered patio area to sit and watch the birds and horses at the end of the garden. Garden is enclosed, great for young kids. Wifi excellent! The owners decorated the house for our arrival as it was my wife's birthday, even leaving prosecco and cake, they really went above and beyond expectations. Beadnell itself is ace. Lovely village shop next to a great beach for rock pools and jumping in at high tide. Nice kids playground 5 mins walk from the house. Excellent food in Beadnell towers. We did coasteering with Kev who is based at Beadnell bay. We had a perfect family holiday and would definitely stay at the sands again.

“Great spot”
Reviewed 24 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This cottage is in a nice quiet spot and is well maintained. The location was perfect, with a short walk down to the harbour for crabbing and a an even shorter walk to a tiny, quiet bay which the boys loved exploring. The back garden has a lovely outlook, backing onto open fields with 2 horses, a lovely view while eating our breakfast or when having an evening glass of wine. We loved watching the swallows in their nest and then a few days later fly the nest!

“Very comfortable cottage”
Reviewed 31 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Very comfortable cottage for the two of us. All possible equipment provided. Patio (with visiting swallows) and garden (with horses over the fence) both appreciated. Ideal location in middle of Beadnell within five minutes' walk of beaches and pubs - and Beadnell is centrally located on the Northumberl;and coast, as well as being an interesting village in its own right. Cake on arrival much appreciated!

“Wonderful Holiday”

We really enjoyed our holiday in this lovely cottage. It was very comfortable with all amenities and the location is superb for exploring the Northumberland coast.
We particularly liked watching the swallows and their chicks who had a nest outside as well as the horses in the field at the bottom of the garden who would come to say hello.
The cake on arrival was also very welcome and a nice touch.
Would definitely recommend this and hope to come back next year

Thank you for your supportive comments. We're glad you liked our cottage and enjoyed Northumberland - most of all we are delighted you wish to return. Last Saturday we watched all four swallow chicks leave the nest one by one. They were all very competent flyers! It was the second successful brood this year and unfortunately the last but I'm sure they'll be back next year and I hope you are too.
