Paid £2 to park at the car park closer to the castle but the walk from the bottom car park was fairly easy anyway.
Spent a good couple of hours wandering the grounds, admiring the views, reading the history and the aviation museum was great.
We did the internal state rooms, some more interesting than others and some just a little underwhelming but the history is still very interesting.
There were lots of kids around and plenty to keep them occupied with the activity book which was a great idea and some great old games to play in the grounds. Perfect place for a family day out .
