Simply a great wee place to stay...we arrived in Alnwick and decided to stay the night and by chance came across thiss place.
Very happy with everything and these folks are a credit to Alnwick and English hospitality!
Well done....thank you

This very friendly and great B&B is slightly out of town (5 mins walk if that). It is very near to Barter Books - also worth a visit. Jane and Arthur were so friendly and Barney the old English sheepdog was just gorgeous. Great breakfast and great hosts. Due to our late booking we were up on the third floor in one of their 'overspill rooms'. The room was basic but very clean and a good sized room/ensuite. We would recommend this B&B and would stay there again - thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful home in Alnwick. The room we stayed in was spacious and had its own bath. The accommodations were excellent. The room had everything one needs when travelling even including a flashlight which comes in handy late at night stumbling around in a new place. When we arrived our room had cookies and candy bars and a fresh flask of milk. There was plenty of space to store our stuff and the room was very clean and comfortable. There was ample amount of space for free parking. Our hosts Jane and Arthur and their dog Barney were very gracious and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. The included breakfast which was cooked to order each morning was great and we always left with our bellies full. The location was close to Borders Books and just a short walk to Alnwick Castle, the river Aln, or the town of Alnwick itself. All with great places to get a great morning run. The free wifi worked great. Jane and Arthur made us feel like they would provide nearly anything we needed during our stay. If we ever come back, this is where we'll stay.

We booked a room for a single night to break our journey from Scotland and what a find it was. The hotel is immaculate and the welcome warm. We booked a double room which was en suite with all amenities including kettle, tv, wifi and on arrival you are told to let them know if anything else is needed. I will be recommended this to friends

We've stayed before at Aydon House and were greeted both times with warmth & friendliness by Arthur & Jane. The B&B is lovely and has a sitting lounge for guests. The rooms are light, nicely decorated, comfortable and completely equipped. We were given fresh milk for our room tea/coffee and lovely biscuits.
The breakfast was fabulous. Fresh fruit, yogurt, porridge, full English, all nicely prepared and all served with a smile!
Yes, the bathroom in our own room this time was a little smaller than some, but nowhere near the tiniest I've seen elsewhere and had everything we needed so we were quite happy with it. This is an older classic house, so they've done well with antiquated floor plans to adapt the space.
We will return.
