“Fantastic well equipped cottage”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Just back from a few days at Cubble Head for New Year with my family and friends. We had a great time time, all very impressed with how well equipped and homely the cottage was, like a second home... and the beds were extremely comfy!
Would definitely go back. Hawes was lovely, despite the wet weather!

Many thanks! We are so pleased that you all enjoyed your New Year break despite the weather. Thank you very much for commenting that the cottage is well equipped - we try hard to make sure that there is everything that you might need or want for a holiday in the Dales (and more!)

“Fabulous cottage in the Dales”
Reviewed 11 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

I have just returned home after an excellent week staying here with my family. The youngest was my son (3 years). The house is well equipped with everything you need to use for a holiday. The views all around are breathtaking and wonderful to look at while washing dishes, that's if you decide not to use the dishwasher. Liz and Richard gave us a very warm welcome when we arrived and they even had a little present for my son. The welcome basket of goodies was much appreciated indeed. There is lots to do in the Dales and if you aren't into walking then there loads of things to do. Visiting the White Scar caves in Ingleton is a must but make sure you go when it's dry as the caves get flooded when its very heavy rain. We all agreed that we would definitely go back to Cubble Head. Thank you Liz and Richard for allowing us to stay in your lovely house.

Many thanks for taking the time to review Cubble Head! It was a pleasure to welcome you and your family and we try to ensure that our youngest guests are also made to feel most welcome too.

Many of our guests have also commented on the spectacular views from the kitchen window and sometimes don't bother with the dishwasher, preferring to stand at the sink and drink in the panorama!

We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday at Cubble Head and do hope that we will come and stay with us again in the future.

Kind regards

Liz and Richard

“Simply the best”

We have stayed in many lovely cottages but Cubble Head is the best of all. It is spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped and is everything you could wish for. The view from the kitchen window is superb and the place has an unmatched tranquility yet has the convenience of being only a mile away from Hawes. TV lovers will not be disappointed, Cubble Head does not have the small screen TV often found in cottages, it has a large flat screen in the lounge and a further two TVs in the bedrooms. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the welcoming tray is excellent. A perfect week in every way and we look forward to returning.

“Fantastic Cottage. Clean, modern inside but retains true yorkshire character!”

This cottage just felt like home. Warm, clean , modern but still has the feel of a traditional yorkshire cottage. It would suit anyone!
The owners were fantastic from start to finish, helping us out with requests etc.
I know the area very well and have been coming to yorkshire for many years . This has to be the nicest cottage i have stayed in. The views were out of this world. The linen felt and smelt fresh and it was lovely and warm. Some of the cottages i have stayed in have not only been dirty but also you came away feeling 'ripped off' because they had Electric Meters that you were constanly feeding money into. Not Cubble Head!!! Everything was taken care of. Thank you Liz and Phil. It was wonderful! We will be back!

Thank you so much for your very kind review! We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday and that it is the nicest cottage you have stayed in. The views are, as you say, panoramic and very special.

We do try to balance the tradition of an 18th century cottage with all the comforts of the 21st century and from your review it sounds as if we have succeeded! Thankyou.

We do hope you will come and stay with us again.

Liz and Richard

PS there is now a lovely new modern bathroom - photo on the website.
