We had a wonderful long weekend at Cubble Head. The drive up from west Yorkshire is pretty, and the cottage is welcoming and very comfortable.
Kitchen is amazing, with almost brand new appliances which allow you to be as creative as you want to be! Alternatively Hawes has some lovely restaurants which make you very welcome.
There are loads of walks accessible straight from the cottage. Short drive away are some wonderful other routes for walks plus Wensleydale cheese factory (with free tasting!)

“Fantastic Cottage, Stunning Views & Great Location !!!!!!!”

Just returned from a week at the cottage and I am really pleased to say it was fantastic.
If you want the Yorkshire Dales at its best you would not go wrong in booking this cottage.
The location is away is certainly from it all, but just a short distance to everything you would need in Hawes. All you can hear all day are sheep, lambs, curlews and the odd tractor; it really is peace and quiet.
The cottage is very homely, with all the facilities you would need, including the essential baking implements. The rooms are all spacious including the singles and tastefully decorated in tune with an old building. We hate to see lovely old cottages decked out in ultra modern furniture and tacky decor and Cubble Head is certainly NOT this. The cottage is simply fitted out with furniture and decor that fits in with a grade 2 listed building, yet still maintains a clean, fresh and most importantly, comfortable place to spend a holiday.
The pictures on the web site showing the external views over Wensleydale do not do it justice, they are spectacular from the back door and extend right up and down he valley.
The outdoor space is fantastic too, a large stone flagged patio to one side and a large paddock to the front, all enclosed with dry stone walls, so it is excellent for children young and old as there is so much to explore and play on. Great for the dog too.
I would certainly recommend this to friends and family, In fact we already have!!
We will be going back soon and cannot wait!!!!!!
