My partner and I visited on Sunday 16th September, my birthday. Starter, main, wine atmosphere all very nice, then we ordered dessert, cheesecake and ginger pudding, unfortunately these both were very disappointing the cheesecake arrived in a collapsed state, i.e. the top leave the base like a landslide and the ginger pudd was clarty, neither of us finished our desserts. The waitress came to clear the table and to ask if everything was o.k. We advised that we were not very happy with the desserts, her response was sorry. The desserts were half eaten and taken away. We later asked for the bill and I mentioned the desserts again, but was told by the waitress that there was nothing more she could do. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
We were booked back in for the Thursday with two other friends. I hasten to add I asked the waiter if it was the same chef as Sunday and she asked why, we explained.
She apologised for Sunday and said that waitress would have been unable to do anything about it. You guessed not one of the 4 of us, had a dessert.
Maybe a complimentary coffee or drink would have been good customer care.
Such a shame, it came so recomended.
