We went in for breakfast this morning, and my excellent full English would've fed us both!

We're regular visitors to this rural gem of a place, and frequently come home laden with fresh bread. The multigrain loaves are delicious, and the ciabatta is a bit of a favourite as well. We're still working our way through the cakes and tarts, and haven't yet found one we don't like.

Owner Nate is passionate about good food, and we've enjoyed a couple of their monthly steak nights; October's is sold out, but we've booked in for November. A new venture is the pudding club later this month (that's also sold out but there will be more in the future).

One of Shrub & Grub's best features is the staff who work there - friendly, helpful and very welcoming.

The cafe is open daytimes Wednesday to Sunday, plus regular specials nights as mentioned above. Booking is essential for these.

Third visit with my husband (&Puppy) and yet again the best scones ever ! The coffee comes as a generous cafetière with a choice of blends! Even our puppy was brought a fresh dish of water ! Service is so warm and friendly. I put an order in for home delivery of a selection of items and this will be delivered to my door for free which is an exceptional service. The only thing that I wish for is more inviting outside seating area as was a touch damp today despite a beautiful sunny morning.

Staff very friendly and courteous and the sandwiches great!.
There is a wide selection of speciality bread such as sourdough, spelt, ciabatta, focaccia Rye as well as the more usual wholemeal and white, all made on the premises.
For those with a sweet tooth, there are pastries, cakes, chocolate brownies and more.

Shrub and Grub also deliver their goods within the local area.

We only recently found out about this place and went here for breakfast with our 3 year old son. Lovely setting, friendly staff and food was very tasty.
There's a wide range of breads to buy from the bakery too!
We will visit again for lunch or one of the bistro nights.

So far since moving to the area we have been to Shrub and Grub twice for breakfast and it was really good and well cooked. The service is warm and friendly. Will be going against definitely. We have also had bread from the bakery as well which again is excellent. They even deliver bread to your door step if you live in the area. By the way the sausage rolls are great as well. A great place.
