Great place to stay, beautiful garden and less than a ten minute walk to the beach. We had a problem with a leaking door the first night but it was fixed the next day, so good service too! Lovely little cottage (and I hear they take pets too!)
We have just spent the last two nights in this beautiful cottage. The words ‘Oasis’ and ‘perfect’ spring to mind.
Helen and Mark were so nice, the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and communication was excellent.
We arrived so much later than expected due to traffic yet despite there being a key safe Mark, Helens husband, stayed on to allow us the parking space he had saved for us and give us a tour of this striking, bright, clean and dog friendly one bed cottage and garden.
Helen was away for the weekend so unfortunately we didn’t meet but was on the end of the phone at any time for any advice. She had also provided a beautiful continental breakfast which was much appreciated plus crisps and fruit scones, not to mention cupboards full of incidentals which included baked beans dog dental stix and poop bags!
From the pretty garden (secure for dogs, seating, BBQ, mood lighting, 2 ducks, one with skates on) two large double doors accessed the ground floor, at one end the red black and white fully equipped kitchen (with washer dryer) flooded in natural daylight by the large skylight above and at the other, the comfortable lounge (sofa, dining table, dramatic fireplace, large TV, supply of good DVD’S books and games). Here there were local attraction leaflets and the cottage manual which had everything you needed to find your way around and even included spare maps to take away!
Upstairs via a winding staircase (which may prove awkward for a person with limited mobility) was the smart grey back and white bedroom with a really comfortable bed and the Travatine tiled very cleverly laid out wet room ensuite with fun multi head shower.
Charles and I would like to move in or at least know the name of the designer! All in all a lovely weekend break made that much better by Helen and Mark and their beautiful home. Thank you for having us. Caroline
Stayed at this cottage for a couple of days relaxing and it was great. It is a beautiful little cottage tucked away just minutes from the sea front and shops . Helen greets you on arrival and is warm and friendly. Once inside the cottage it is bright clean and modern with all the facilities you need including tea, coffee, milk a stocked store cupboard for you to use, and a couple of extras from Helen a nice bottle of wine chocolates and cream scones. There is a lovely court yard with lighting and a BBQ great for evening.
It is a new venture and I'm sure will be a great success with the way we were treated . I would definitely stay again .
We had a lovely weekend break. The house had everything we needed (even for our little dog) and more. The owner helen provided us with a welcome basket which was a lovely touch. Everything was spotless and helen was really helpful and friendly from booking to leaving. Property is well positioned as everything needed is in walking distance. We were there for the armed forces weekend so had a great time. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
