The atmosphere was vibrant and the pub was busy, which is always a good sign. We were told we would have to wait about 15 mins for a table BUT one came free almost immediately. The quality of the food from the carvery was excellent and the portion sizes were generous (and the queue wasn't too long). Indeed my friend couldn't eat a dessert as she was was full up after eating the main course.

The prices were competitive and the staff were well-organised & friendly.

I will certainly be returning.

We had lunch here, they open at 11.30am and delicious smells were wafting across the large car park as we approached the building.

An old fashioned type of establishment, it certainly brings in the seniors at lunch time with kind staff and lovely food.

I had the steak pie and it was a huge portion with 6 types of veg and potatoes. The meat was so tender and there was masses of it ..... a real treat.

Would I visit again or recommend this establishment ...... without a doubt on both counts.
