The room was what we were expecting from a Travelodge. Ours was very spacious and the bed comfy. The room was clean but the carpets in the corridor looked dirty with several stains. There are the usual tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The ensuite was OK with a shower over the bath.

My Wife and I got a good rate for our room, but as we were staying with 2 small dogs we had to pay £20 for each of them to stay one night, which was almost what we paid to sleep in a bed and they were sleeping on the floor in a cage! This is an extortionate rate, especially when one of the cleaners could not even see evidence that dogs had been staying in our room. The Receptionist when we arrived was very friendly and helped us with our bags and agreed that the £40 charge for our dogs was unfair. We had the same response at the Travelodge in Canterbury earlier this year. Head Office need to urgently rethink their dog policy.

The Travelodge is based at Motorway Services, so there is plenty of parking, but don't forget to ask reception for a parking permit to display in your car. There is no full English breakfast available, but a basic breakfast to go (cereal, milk etc.). There are however places on the services where you can get a more substantial and cooked breakfast. The hotel is close to Blackburn town centre and obviously motorway links.

Recommended for people not staying with dogs. Good that dogs are allowed, but too high a charge for the option and a lot more than the average £10 that others Guest Houses/B & B's/Hotels charge.

Hotel was very clean, car parking free and plentiful. Surprisingly quiet even though at motorway services. Helpful staff on reception. Didnt need to worry about breakfast as good choice of outlets within same building and open early - even on a Sunday morning. Would definitely stay there again if the need arose

Stayed recently at Travelodge M65 on the way to the Lakes. Good value when booked well ahead. Comfortable and convenient for the M6. Located in a service area with Macdonalds, Costa, Geggs and small supermarket. Good free car park. No traffic noise, but if you have a room on the front you will occasionally hear the people going to Macdonalds through the night if they are noisy. Would use again.

This Travelodge is in the perfect place. Just off the M65, Darwen with Blackburn. The room was cosy, comfortable and I wish we could've stayed longer. The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom/shower extremely clean and fluffy white towels & bed linen.... I didn't want to get up in the morning.
Decent price range - could be better for on the day booking :0)

Easy to find and good parking - also a range of food outlets just next to the hotel - also a fuel station at the location so a one hit stop - The room was clean and the bed really comfortable - really couldn't fault it
