We went for our tea on 7pm Tuesday night to find it all shuttered up despite it saying online that it should be open.
Hope all is ok and it was just a one off.
We've found it's been even better lately. Better staff and improved food

Hi Wendy,

I am sorry to inform you but our Darwen branch is closed due to flooding and will not be re-opening any time soon. Apologises for any inconvenience this may have on you.
Thank you for pointing out that this has not yet been changed on line and i will personally look into getting it fixed.

Updates are going to be posted on our 'La Salsa Darwen' Facebook page.

If you are interested we do have two more branches in Horwich and Wigan, With just as good food and service.

Kind Regards,

Roxanne

Lovely little Spanish tapas restaurant - unexpected in such a small town.
We visited on Valentines Day evening whilst staying in the area for a show the night before at the local theatre. There was a Valentines menu of tapas, very good menu but we were tempted by the all you can eat option, very reasonable so we could afford a good Rioja with our meal. Everything we tried was well cooked and as good as any tapas we have had in Espana. Our waitress amazed us by having memorised all of the menu so when we asked for tapas by number (over 40 items) she was able to repeat back exactly what we had ordered. A memorable evening!

I really like this place. Food is really really tasty. Me and my fiancee went and had 3 drinks each (Prosecco, wine, cosmopolitan, rekorderling) the all you can eat menu (I had 9 dishes, partner had 7) plus a dessert each. Came to £64. Absolute bargain. The deep fried potatoes with peppers, chilli and herbs are so delicious! Everything is delicious, to be honest but that dish had my tastebuds rocking! This will always be up there when we want something local and cheap. Great.

I heard a lot of good comments about that place so was looking forward to trying it.
We came in as a large party and anticipated a nice welcome only to get a luck warm greeting at best.

The selection of food and tapas looked good on the menu but was rather disappointing once in the plate. Soggy, greasy, not really Spanish food at all. Even a simple thing such as garlic bread was a let down.
Shame as well the staff had no clue about Spanish products.

Salsa ¿Hasta la siempre? No lo pienso.
