The location is excellent for seeing the surrounding area. The staff are very friendly - reception is manned 24 hours a day. The family room was big enough - shower was hot and powerful - bed was very comfortable - everything was very clean - no road noise - no noise from neighbouring rooms. Breakfast was excellent - kids eat free. We paid £40 a night for the family room and I have no complaints at all - my first Premier Inn experience and I would highly recommend it.

Whitstable is nice and relaxing - you will be bored for more than a long weekend. We ate at the Zizzi (excellent) and the Whitstable Oyster Company (overpriced and service was terrible). We had a day trip to Canterbury - note if you are taking a family look at entrance prices first because if we had gone into the Cathedral and the Canterbury Tales Experience and the Museum it would have cost us over £100 so we just walked around (just a lot of shops not worth the bother).

Room Tip: We stayed on the ground floor in Room 4 - very quiet.

We booked a room at Premier Inn Whitstable following the good reviews. We booked a family room with breakfast via Bookings.com for £85.50 including breakfast. We arrived at the hotel at 5pm and duly checked in 2 x adults and 2 x children (4 & 7). We were advised by reception that our booking was £105. We explained that we had booked via Bookings.com and showed her confirmation. She rudely explained that this did not include breakfast and "do you want the room or not!". We again showed her confirmation that it included breakfast but this went on deaf ears. She (Wendy) stated that the price including breakfast was £105 and £85 without breakfast so do you want it or not! We were oviously put in a very diffcult position and paid up. I obviously felt that the service was poor and asked for head offices phone number to be told that they will get it for me later. I went to my room and obtained the head office phone number. When I next walked through reception I was told that they had Head Offices number for me and I advised that I had already obtained it - thank you. Then received a loud "tut" and rolling eyes! The rooms were OK and reception was good.
I travel to Whitstable every month and normally stay at the Hotel Continental. This was unfortunately fully booked, now I know why!

Room Tip: Book the Hotel Continental! better location, nicer service and try the mussles.

The room was large, clean with a lovely bathroom, very comfortable & good value, the only problem was that our room faced the bypass and even with the window closed, at about 4am the noise of the traffic woke me. I would stay they again but have a room on the other side.

Room Tip: Do not stay in 123.

It has been more than a year since we have stayed at the Premier Inn Whistable. Since our last stay an extension has been built and we were lucky enough to be booked into one of the new rooms. It was quiet being at the end of the corridor... a bit of a trek but worth it. The standard of the room was great, just what you would expect from brand new fittings. There was no road noise. We booked several weeks in advance so to get a Saturday night for £44 was a steal.
We got the bus into the harbour for £2.80 return for 2 adults which was brilliant value, no worries about parking or drinking!. Buses run approx every 15mins.. just to the right of the hotel.
Wi Fi was a bit hit and miss in our room but may be better in others. We had the continental breakfast which is a little expensive for basically cereal and pastries, no meat or cheeses offered. All in all though very good value for money and very convenient. The staff were helpful and polite.
