“Our 2nd home (1 Mummy and 4 grown up daughters + the occasional babe in arms)”
Reviewed 2 October 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This was our third stay at no 17 during what has become an annual pilgrimage to Whitstable each May bank holiday. The perfectly situated cottage is indeed a tardis, with a lovely open plan kitchen/dining/seating area in which we spent the majority of our time. We made good use of the courtyard garden which is a wonderful suntrap for brunch/lunch. It is perfectly kitted out with enough items to cook up a a feast and lay a stunning looking table. It is well furnished with a real charm & filled with lots of eclectic items. The beds are comfortable and the shower is a lovely pressure (all important things in a good rental!) We welcomed the addition of the blinds in the top room and were overjoyed at the Nespresso machine!! (bring along your own pods).

Matt is a pleasure to deal with and has always been beyond gracious and helpful prior, during and after each stay - many thanks

n.b Try to limit your vehicles as parking is possible but tricky if you don't want to pay - be prepared to park up the road a little.
Samphire is a must as is the windy corner cafe and do spend a fortune in the cheese shop because there is just no avoiding it in our opinion!!

“Fantastic cottage in great location”
Reviewed 29 September 2015 for a stay in March 2015

This cottage is a beautifully decorated and ideal for a holiday with friends. It is in a great location near the centre of Whitstable, with easy walkable access to the shops, restaurants and beach. Matthew who owns the property is very helpful and had thought of everything we would possibly need. We loved staying here!

“Lovely Cottage In Great Location ”
Reviewed 23 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We only stayed at No 17 for one night but loved the cottage. It's really well positioned for exploring Whitstable and looks great too. Kitchen in particular is fab! Matt was incredibly helpful with check in/check out, recommending local restaurants etc. Will definitely try and return.

“Couldn't have found a better place to stay!”
Reviewed 17 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed here for my friend's 30th birthday and it was the best decision we could have made; it absolutely polished off a fantastic weekend. The house was spotless and freshly cleaned when we arrived, and there was literally everything you would need at the house. I brought a few utensils with me as I wasn't sure how equipped the house was for cooking (based on previous experience at other rentals!), but there really was no need! There is everything you need and more.

The beds were super comfortable (that reminds me, I must buy a soft mattress topper!) and there were fresh towels provided. The cosy garden was a perfect suntrap for prosecco in the afternoon sun, but if you didn't fancy that then the beach is only a 3 minute walk away.

The owner was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, and has even kindly posted some left-behind-sunglasses for us which is such a lovely touch.

Each one of us kept commenting how great the house was, and we are already thinking about our next visit to Whitstable, where there is no doubt about it - we will be re-booking No.17! I thoroughly recommend staying here.

Liked best: Just the overall space and brightness of the whole house. We felt very at home.
Liked least: If you are a light sleeper, take an eye mask and/or ear plug as the front room is a little noisy and light as it's on the road

“Amazing space ”
Reviewed 15 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Just the perfect space for 3 couples and 3 babies! Layout is great with a big open kitchen and social space looking out to the garden and away from the bedroom so the babies could go down at night with no fuss. We will definitely be back...
Super convenient just off the main high street and 5 min walk from the sea too.
Could not fault the place :) thank you!
