“Lovely well equipped house in a great location”
Reviewed 24 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

This is a beautiful, spacious and well equipped house on the seafront in Margate, with a small sunny back garden which is a lovely sun trap to relax in on a breezy day.
It was perfect for our girls weekend as all the bedrooms were lovely, there were 6 bathrooms (most en-suite) and ample space for everyone in the kitchen, dining, sitting rooms too. Lots to do locally and a great beach and mini golf literally on the doorstep. Only thing that could improve the place is some updating/clarification of guest information and a bit of attention to water drainage and draft proofing in some places. Only one disappoint was we could not get any of the tvs working to watch the royal wedding.

I was very sad that Sonia could not watch the royal wedding. It was midday on the day of the wedding that I first knew of this problem and unfortunately there was nothing I could do in time. It was an aerial problem and easily fixed by the local aerial company.

“Wonderful house for a large family celebration”
Reviewed 3 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Fabulous location - wonderful sunsets. Well equipped house with everything we needed for our family of 9. Useful sunny back garden - in need of pruning to enlarge the sitting area. Very comfortable sitting room with lovely balcony overlooking the sea and beach. Convenient location for old town and for the younger ones Dreamland was a real treat.

“beautiful house”
Reviewed 15 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Beautiful house, well equipped to a high spec, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Wonderful sea view from the balcony . Easy walking distance to old town. Little back garden, a sun trap in the afternoon - but in need of a little attention and pruning.

“Great house, Margate on the up”

Had a lovely 5 days over New Year. Great big house - plenty of room and lovely bedrooms. Location is brilliant with a terrific little walk along the front into Margate itself. House was warm and the facilities brilliant for the 12 of us.

Margate itself is really making an effort to become more attractive with some great little shops and wonderful selection of micro-pubs. If you like real ale, this is the place for you.

Only down side is the poor state of some of the remainder of Margate. The amount of dog mess in the pavements and the run down nature of some of the remaining buildings leaves a lot to be desired.

However maybe during the summer they make more of an effort. So concentrate on the house itself and stunning views over the sea and you can't go wrong. I would definitely go back again.

I am delighted that you loved our house. Facing the sea gives fab views. Margate has changed enormously in the last 4 years and is still changing. There has been a lot of cash from European funds given to the Council to invest and so no doubt there will be more improvements to the town. This and getting more tourists and visitors out to towns like Margate to spend their cash will hopefully see the British seaside towns return to a new Heyday.
