The apartment was as seen advertised, large apartment 2 bedrooms. The apartment was very clean, comfortable beds and excellant bathrooms. Very large TV in the lounge and also good size TV in the bedrooms. Good cooking facilities. It was nice to see an aquarium in the lounge. The owner was very pleasant and very hands on. We had problems with the heating and he immediately came round and put the boiler on. It's was very nice to have tea, coffee , sugar and milk waiting for us. The parking was good just on the drive, so was easy to unload the car. The neighbour was also very pleasant. The area was OK and Tescos was near by to get all the groceries we needed. It was recommended for us to eat in the local Chinese restaurant but we were unable to do so as they were fully booked. Having walked in there I found it too small and claustrophobic. We managed to get an Indian takeaway delivery. We felt that perhaps it would be a good idea for the owner to buy some additional crockery and some more better cutlery and some more pots and pans and also some bowls for microwave cooking. Also just small things like a draining rack, some trays as the seating in the dining room round the table was very modern but not particularly suitable for the elderly or large people. A small coffee table to put drinks on in the lounge would be nice. There was some repairs needed to be done in the apartment but the owner made us aware and was not a problem to us. Overall a very nice apartment to stay in. We used local taxis which were very efficient and reasonable in price.
Good location only 3mins from the bus stop and a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) can be purchased for £8 for the day, bus every 10 mins. Saves a fortune on parking fees and goes to Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and into Margate. Shell grotto well worth a visit and has a tea room and toilet.
Paul (the owner) is easy to contact and lives nearby if you have any problems or need advice. Would stay again!!!
This is a great apartment in Cliftonville, just a few minutes walk to the sea, and a 15 walk to Margate centre, although there is a good range of shops in Cliftonville too.
The apartment is well kitted out, with beautiful bath/shower rooms, and it has parking. Paul was extremely helpful and accommodating.
A second set of keys would be useful, especially if there are a few people staying, but this is a minor thing.
