On arrival at the Star and Eagle hotel you instantly get country feel to the place. It has stunning views which are nice to look at first thing in the morning and when the sun is setting.
We met Lizzie who runs the front of house. She is a great person who clearly loves her job. We met her little boy who was a joy to be around. All of the girls behind the bar had a smile on their face from morning to night.
The food is cooked to a high standard and they have a weekly specials board, afternoon tea and local desserts like the Kentish apple pie. Chef Scott certainly knows how to use all of his produce to the best of his ability along with all of the kitchen staff.
We stopped in room number 9 which was lovely. It had all its old beam features on the ceiling which you don’t get to see anymore so it was an added touch. The room was fully equipped with everything you would expect. Hairdryer, towels, tea and coffee facilities in the room and little bathroom toiletries.
Me and my husband had a great time and will definitely look forward to our next trip here.
