“Perfect holiday”

We have sadly come to the end of our one week stay at Beach Cottage and could not have wished for a better place to stay. The owners parents (who live nearby), and Fran could not have been more helpful with accommodating my elderly grandmother. The cottage is beautifully furnished and had every kitchen utensil we needed! The location is amazing with the most beautiful sunsets. Nearby Yarmouth is a lovely place which we've overlooked before but certainly won't again. The Deli in the square is great as is The Bugle Inn (dog friendly which was a necessity for us). Another must visit is Warren Farm on Alum Bay Road which serves the most incredible cream tea. We've not been able to take advantage of the wonderful walks accessible from Fort Victoria Cottages but we are already planning our next visit and will make up for it then. We cannot recommend this property highly enough. It truly is a wonderful place for a holiday.

Liked best: There is everything you need here and it's all good quality and in lovely condition. Like staying at a friends house rather than a holiday rental.

“Outstanding location and cottage”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Loved the views of the Solent, the dog- friendly atmosphere, safe and gorgeous surroundings. A totally restful setting - great walks, lots of fab restaurants locally and being nearby Yarmouth for all sorts of fun shops, etc.
Totally what we needed for rest and interesting outings.

“Perfect retreat”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Fort Victoria Cottages are the perfect retreat for a quiet relaxed holiday. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable, the location is idyllic with views across to the main land. A lovely little patio to sit and eat watching the rabbits in the field in front of the cottages and yachts sailing passed by on the Solent. For dog walkers this is probably the best location we have found as the country park is at the back of the cottage with lovely coastal walks. Almost every pub and restaurant allows dogs in which is such a bonus. We ate out most nights and every meal was good and of a high quality, top tip the seafood is excellent everywhere. Nearest town is Yarmouth which is bustling a busy, there is a lovely Deli selling local produce and amazing bread worth getting there early to have fresh warm bread for breakfast. Little coffee shop next to the post office for he best coffee on the island and delicious brownies.

“Lovely cottage in stunning location”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

If you want a cosy cottage right by the sea the this is perfect! Very well equipped with all you would need for a stress free holiday. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful. You are within walking distance of 2 good café's at Fort Victoria itself and only a short walk along the beach to the lovely town of Yarmouth. You will also be greeted by a lovely dog called Scruffy and a cat called Moriarty who are very friendly and belong to the neighbours. Its a nice little area to stay.
