yummy fish, served lovely potatoes and veg cooked to perfection. We went for one of the cheapest white wines which was very good. The ambiance was a little cold at first but then the restaurant got busier which made it feel more cosy. The lady serving us was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back. Nice nibbles on arrival.

The food is fresh so limited but something for all tastes with some more traditional dishes (my steak braised in a mushroom sauce was very tender) and some for the more adventurous (my sister had the sea bass with ginger and lemongrass). Vegetables come separately so you can help yourself. Complimentary sourdough bread with vinegar/oil (delicious), nibbles and finally, with the bill, jelly beans. Thoughtful touches. The interior is warm and cozy and the welcome/service friendly.

A great restaurant with wonderful food. A small menu - matches the restaurant! But the food is really good and the staff are friendly and welcoming. A visit to Cowes is not complete without a meal here.

I wandered in one night on the expenses account and wasn’t expecting much but I was seriously impressed. The beef ragu starter packed a serious punch and the lamb main was delicious! Highly recommended !

This restaurant is one of our favourites anywhere. Food is beautifully cooked and presented. The menu is imaginative but not pretentious and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I’d eat there every day if I could get away with it!
