Stayed at the house between 22-29th April 2016, with other family members, found the house clean and well equipped. The kitchen is well fitted and includes a dishwasher, and ample pots, pans and crockery, although a number of the mugs and dishes are chipped and need replacing. There is good Wifi coverage throughout the property.
There is parking at the house for two cars but access is along a very narrow cobbled lane, not for the nervous driver. There is free public parking available close by for those who prefer not to attempt the narrow lane. There are several shops nearby including a large Coop Supermarket which is open until 11pm, there are ample places to eat nearby and we would recommend The Swan public house.
On the ground floor there are two twin bedrooms, an ensuite master room with a kingsize bed, a utility room with a washing machine and a large family bathroom which has a bath but unfortunately no shower. An over the bath shower would be a great addition.
The first floor is an very large open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge, there is a large 10 seater dining table. In the lounge there is flat screen television, VHS video player, DVD player and selection of VHS tapes. There a bright and roomy conservatory with two armchairs and a four seater dining table. Unfortunately there is no toilet on this floor.
On the second floor is a further twin bedrooms and compact shower room. The walkin shower is built into the sloping roof space resticting the headroom, this was a problem for the taller members of our group who were not able to use the shower. I am average height (5'9") and could use the shower without any problem.
Kington is a great base to explore the area from, the Offas Dyke path can be reached on foot from the town. There is a Owl and Rare Breeds Farm a couple of miles away which is well worth a visit We found the house to be very comfortable, quiet and peaceful, we had a lovely week at the house and would recommend it to family and friends however it is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

Not yet stayed here. Found this lovely home on Owners Direct site for £525 for three nights.
The owner wanted payment by cheque or balance transfer, because it was to be a surprise I wanted to use my credit card. I was advised by the owner that they had their house advertised through holiday lettings - part of trip advisor. I found it and had to pay an extra £70 to the advertising site! If this was not bad enough once The booking had been agreed I looked back at the site to see that the nightly rate had gone from £125 to £85 this is a considerable difference and I am stuck now and cannot cancel.its not the owners fault they do not get the extra money. I don't have lots of money and tried to shop wisely I have been truly had this time so all beware. I have no way of complaining to Holiday lettings you cannot contact them nor trip advisor. I am looking forward to our stay but am very angry that I am paying over the odds just to be able to use a credit card.
